DELECTABLE COOKIES

My cousin shared this recipe with me during the peak of quarantine and I kid you not, it was repeated so many times! They are so addicting that you won't even want to share it with anyone else in your household. Absolutely delicious when paired with your favourite (caffeinated) beverage.

​INGREDIENTS

 

Dry

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup white sugar

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

 

Wet

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 3/4 cup butter, melted

  • 2 large eggs

*toss in mixins of your choice - preferably the chocolate kind!

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven at 325F + line a baking tray with parchment paper.
     

  2. Mix in all ingredients into a large bowl - I usually start with all the dry ingredients first, then add in the wet.
    *I usually start mixing with a spatula. As soon as it looks like dough-y, I get in there with my hands.
     

  3. Chill the cookie dough for at least an hour.
    *Don't skip this step, it actually makes a difference to your cookies' future outcome!
     

  4. Divide the batter into balls using an ice cream scoop and place evenly onto baking tray. 
    *Feel free to eyeball this, depending on the size of cookies you'd like.
     

  5. Bake until golden brown + the top looks crunchy.
    *When you can smell it, that's the perfect time to take them out
     

  6. Place on a cooling rack; let the delicious scent fill your home and those carbs fill your belly!
